For us, this is another milestone on the path to ‘making joy in life easy’.
The ‘Euler Revisited’ project
Our ‘new Euler’ with its sustainable construction, the extensions to the existing building and the purchase of a new plot of land was funded by the European Union, and we would like to share with you the measures that were taken and the application that was submitted.
We are very proud of what has been achieved and hope that you, our guests, enjoy your stay here in Neuschönau as much as we do.
Description and justification of the project
Our project consists of six nature houses (chalets) and a main building with 23 holiday apartments, which also houses a sauna area (Finnish sauna, steam bath, herbal sauna) and an indoor swimming pool with relaxation area. The extension is intended to enhance the existing business and attract many guests to Neuschönau. We are located in Neuschönau, DIRECTLY next to the national park.
Our project is just right for the growing number of holidaymakers, hikers, relaxation seekers, etc. who want to stay overnight in the region. Statistics show that Germans are also spending more and more of their holidays in their own country. We are also receiving an increasing number of enquiries about this. Unfortunately, we have not been able to accommodate many of these enquiries until now. The number of beds in the region has fallen dramatically in recent years.
We have been renovating the country inn continuously since 2010, making us a top destination for holidaymakers and locals alike in Neuschönau. For this reason, we see the need to create more beds and more offers for our country inn and our guests.
It is NOT possible for us to expand the business around the country inn, so we have decided on the plot of land below the road with a wonderful view of the lake. Here it is possible to realise amenities such as an indoor swimming pool, sauna, etc. It is very important to us in this project that the country inn and the ‘new’ project become one entity and always remain so.
Our guests should feel at home both in the ‘country inn’ and in the new ‘nature hotel’. The whole thing should also be very efficient. We envisage installing rainwater collection tanks for all the toilets, solar panels on the roofs for hot water, a PV system for our own consumption and connecting the heating to the existing system. In addition, the hall and adjoining room in the country inn are due for further modernisation.
